It’s September 9th! That means it’s 909 day, and it’s time to celebrate one of the most well-known and respected drum machines in the history of Electronic music.

Probably the most well-known track to utilize the 909 (it’s in the name, after all!), Revolution 909 is a classic track that never gets old:
“Chime” By Orbital
A classic dance track from Orbital, jumping all the way back to 1989. Just listen to those snares!
“Halcyon and on and on” by Orbital
Ok, we already mentioned Orbital, but this is, of course, one of the most well-known dance tracks in all of history. The Roland TR909 is deep in this track.
“Born Slippy NUXX” by Underworld
For some strange reason, a lot of top 909 lists miss this track, which we simply do not understand, considering its weight in the electronic music world.
