One new feature of Pro Tools 11 that’s not very well known, is a new way to create Audio, Auxiliary, Instrument and Master Fader Tracks. In its simplest form, this method enables you to very quickly and easily create either the system default: Audio Track, or the last Track type you created previously, by simply double-clicking in a blank area of the Track Field in Pro Tool’s edit view. To make things even more interesting though, this method also makes use of Modifier Keys + Double Clicking in the aforementioned area, to enable you to make any track type available on your system without having to either go to the Track Drop-Down Menu, or use the keyboard shortcuts: CTRL + Shift + N (PC), or COMMAND + Shift + N (MAC).
