New Wave Meters in Cubase PRO 8

by / Wednesday, 04 March 2015 / Published in Cubase, Music production tutorials, Video Tutorials

While not one of the more substantial upgrades in the latest version of Cubase, the new Wave Meters feature is very cool nonetheless. When active, upcoming audio events are displayed with their waveforms scrolling thru the meter bridge. A horizontal dotted line shows the current song position. This makes it un-necessary to switch between the Project window and Mix Console to find out the current song position and check upcoming events within the project. To enable Waves meter, ensure that the meter bridge is active, then simply right click over a channel meter and select waves. What then appears is a scrolling waveform representing the audio material on a particular channel.
